“I found I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for” - Georgia O'Keeffe
The course is intended for all plant and nature lovers who want to try semi-abstract painting. It is suitable both for beginners and for those with prior experience in painting. Embrace spontaneity and imagination as you delve into the realm where words fall short, letting your emotions flow freely onto the canvas.
Through exploration, experimentation, and guided instruction, this course offers a fulfilling journey into the expressive possibilities of botanical art.
Participants will reveal their creativity and spontaneity, expressing their emotions on canvas through the motif of plants and flowers.
This course is designed for both beginners and those with prior painting experience, aiming to foster creativity, develop technical skills in acrylic painting, and deepen your understanding of composition and color theory.
Drawing paper for sketching, A3 size, around 200 gsm (separate sheets or a pad)
3-5 canvases for painting (such as 40x50 or 50x60 or 70x90 or 80x100)
Soft graphite pencil, some sketching tools (colored pencils or crayons or pastel), eraser (2B-4B or softer)
A set of brushes of different sizes for acrylic (rounded and flat brushes)

Do not buy cheap paints; purchase art materials from a specialty store for artists. Good paint brands include Schmincke, Royal Talens – Amsterdam, Liquitex, Golden, Sennelier, Boesner Acryl Premium, Winsor & Newton, Lukas, Golden…
A larger plastic palette or a pad of disposable tear-off palettes or simple plastic sheet for mixing colors.
