In this course, you will learn the basics of oil painting. We will explore:
Color theory and color mixing
Brushwork and handling techniques
Measurements and composition
Detailing and finishing methods
Ways to shift your perception and conceptualize more effectively
You will try different oil-painting methods and approaches as you develop your skills.
Objectives :
Learn the fundamental principles of oil painting
Understand the foundations of still life painting
Build confidence in working with oils
Structure :
This course focuses on creating still life paintings in oil to help you become familiar with the medium. You will work with:
Alla prima (wet-on-wet) technique
Glazing (layered) technique
Different types of canvas surfaces
By the end of the course, participants will complete 4–6 finished paintings.
