In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of the alla prima technique in oil painting. Alla prima—which translates to ‘at first attempt’—emphasizes working quickly and capturing as much as possible with each brushstroke. The focus of the course is on painting still lifes in oils, allowing you to become familiar with and confident in this expressive and direct approach.

For beginners and intermediate.

Matériel requis

Please bring oil paints, brushes and painting supplies, turpentine, palette, as well as small canvas (about A4).
